Mark Zuckerburg made a statement saying that Facebook give people power to create a community and bring the world together. In some cases this is true but Facebook creates any negative affects as well.
Facebook is one of the best social media sites ever invented and to the normal person its a perfect place to talk to friends and see what people all over the world are doing and getting involved in.
But what really is Facebook, there is an argument against Facebook which states that Facebook is taking all are privacy away from us and using the information we put on Facebook to promote adds so that they can make money off of us. Facebook are advertising the same adds to different, these people vary in life styles so may be better off than others and those people get the same adds as the people who are worse off but the price on the add will be two times as much.
So Facebook is taking all of our privacy away from us to make money off of the more wealthy people in the world who use Facebook.
On the other hand Facebook is the worlds biggest social media site which is run and made my Mark Zuckerburg, Facebook is a massive company and it also created and owns Instagram and Snapchat so if you have either of them theirs a high likely hood that your private life is actually right there in the open for loads of people to see.
Facebook was made in 2004 and since then has grown massively, Facebook have made many decisions on there site to upgrade and change things to help make it easier of look better, one time Facebook put a vote on there website for a new update and let the users choose whether or not they wanted this change to be made, 90% of the voters chose against the update, but Facebook went ahead and did it anyways which made most of the users very made and unhappy but they stilled used it.
Facebook has also been scientifically proven to make people unhappy, People are ruining their love life to spend more time on Facebook which is making them more unhappy. People are also getting unhappy on Facebook due to the amount of cyber bullying, Cyber bullying is the use of electronic communication to bully a person, typically by sending messages of an intimidating or threatening nature, which many people these days abuse because it is much easier to bully someone when you sitting behind a screen rather than saying it to there face.
